Need car hire on Magnetic Island? 1300 Meteor Rentals offers cars, SUVs, 4WDs, minibuses, and trailers. Just 8km off the coast from Townsville, Maggie is full of nature and history to explore.
Want to take it easy? Chill out on one of the island’s 23 beaches and bays, grab a bite from local pubs or restaurants, or treat yourself with a massage or beauty treatment. If you're after more action, there’s plenty too: go for a jet ski ride, try paddle boarding, snorkel or dive, or head out on a sailing trip.
We reckon the sunset sail with Big Mama Sailing is a must-do. Into hiking or history? The walking tracks around the WWII Forts offer great views and a bit of local history too. For something different, check out the Stage Door Theatre Restaurant at Arcadia Bay or pop into some local art galleries.
And don’t miss Bungalow Bay Koala Park, perfect for seeing Aussie wildlife up close.
